SMEDAN COLLABORATES WITH VON TO EMPOWER MORE NIGERIANS.

On Wednesday, January 10th, 2024, the Director General/CEO of Voice of Nigeria (VON), Mallam Jibrin Baba Ndace, received in his office, Mr Charles Odii, the Director General of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria SMEDAN.
The two leaders explored and shared ideas on how to include more Nigerians in the MSME drive, through partnerships for the actualization of President Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda.
The DG VON in his remark, used the opportunity to enumerate various opportunities available in Voice of Nigeria for MSMEs to leverage for global business promotion, describing VON as the only media outfit in Nigeria with multilingual platforms telling the Nigerian and African stories to the world in eight different languages.
Mall Ndace then restated the willingness of his leadership in VON to advance initiatives that will contribute to the greater good of the nation through partnerships and collaborations.
Earlier in his address, the DG SMEDAN appreciated the management team of Voice of Nigeria for receiving him on short notice. He stated that he is in VON to seek a partnership that will convey what they are doing in SMEDAN to the generality of the people.
He said MSMEs are
promoting grassroots-level economic prosperity which has a multiplier effect on the overall economy and the people need to know what the government is doing.
Mr Charles Odii then added that over 40 million MSMEs are currently active in Nigeria, employing over 96 per cent of the population and contributing about 50 per cent of the country's Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
