Former CPS Mahmud Declares for NASS Seat in Niger: Yakubu Mustapha Minna
The former Chief Press Secretary CPS, Alhaji Mahmud Abdullahi has officially declared his intention to contest for the seat of House of Representative to represent Agaie/Lapai Federal Constituency under the platform of All Progressives Congress.
The eight years media aide to late governor Abdullahi Abdulkadir Kure made his declaration before a large crowd in Lapai party secretariat, where to disclosed that in parliament what is needed is the techniques to lobby and pressure to get things done for your people.
Mahmud while addressing the citizens, assured of better representation in the lower chamber of the National Assembly and called for the support of the people to ensure victory so as to actualize his dream.
He revealed that as a rural person who is not unaware of the problems of the people especially at the rural dwellers while he assured to do everything humanly possible to changed the political narrative if given the opportunity to serve.
Former Commissioner of Information Strategy and culture, Mr Jonathan Tsado Vatsa in an interview said that 2023 will surely be different because democracy is advancing hence the need for better candidate who will work for the interest of the people.
He said that the electorates have leant their lessons following the past mistakes of voting for non competent persons who went their to represent some few individuals and groups at the detriment of the masses called for restraint in the forthcoming elections in the state.
Vatsa described Alhaji Mahmud Abdullahi as the man of the people who always emphasizing on how to improve the quality of leaving of the people who deserved to be given the opportunity to serve who will surely work for his people.
The Nigeria Union of Journalists Niger State Council, Comrade Abu Nmadu said that the aspirant is fully aware of the dynamics of National Assembly especially the lower chamber and should be given the mandate to serve.
The Lapai local government All Progressives Congress Chairman, Alhaji Usman Ndagi Achitukpa, in his remarks told the people that the aspirant is a well known individual who had served the state meritoriously and never found wanting and assured of their support for his aspiration.
